Assault
Assault is a bad thing. Assault can affect you in ways you may not be prepared to manage effectively right now by yourself. Do you think it makes you different? Unrepairable? Not you anymore?
Don't believe it. You are you. You may have been injured. You may not fully recover, but you can sufficiently recover. You may benefit from help. Hey, we can all use assistance sometime.
If you are facing an emergency call 911 or your local paramedics, emergency room, or police department.
For resources try The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Clearinghouse on Families & Youth (NCFY).
You might try The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN): National Sexual Assault Hotline.
Do you question what the assault means about you? Do you fear someone will accuse you of asking for it? Do you think someone will say deserved it?
You are at the right place for help with these concerns.
Are you reluctant to tell someone who could help you because you are afraid your husband or lover or parent or someone else may find out?
